This tidbit it probably also relevant for other aspects in your life, but for now I’ll tie it to my time pursuing a music career.

It is so easy, especially with social media, to fall into an evil cycle of comparison. When you see other artist releasing music steadily, booking gigs and getting press coverage, it can feel like you’re not progressing fast enough. But remember, your pace and your trajectory will be different to other artist’s and that’s totally fine. When I feel myself slightly hyperventilating at the fact that I haven’t checked off XYZ, I list the things that I’m currently working on and remind myself I’m not at a stalemate, I’m just at a different part of the process.
